5 Myths on intimate waxing!
1.Waxing hurts a lot- Lets get the biggest myth of them all out of the
way first. Waxing is a process of applying something that sticks to
your hairs and removing it by pulling your hairs out. This can be
painful, but its no where near as bad as people make it out to be,
also its a very quick pain that’s over in seconds!
2.Your hairs have to be long enough- While wax needs something to
grab onto long hairs can sometimes make the waxing process
more difficult. Your hairs should be at least 4mm long.
3. You can’t wax when you’re pregnant- Waxing is probably the last
thing on your mind as a pregnant lady, but nothing is stopping you
from continuing your waxing. Your hormones may make your skin
more sensitive which could lead to the experience being slightly
more painful.
4. Waxing causes sagging and wrinkles- The skin is held taut during
waxing so the skin should never be tugged away from the body,
and when the wax is removed it provides a mechanical exfoliation
revealing smoother, newer skin.
5.It’s embarrassing- Intimate areas are one of the most annoying
areas to keep in good shape 24/7, some people would never
dream of going and lying on a bed to have an intimate wax, but the
important thing to remember is that most beauty therapists do this
on a daily basis, if your feeling uncomfortable please speak with
your therapist they will be happy to make you feel as comfortable
as they can! They also will be happy to alter their methods to give
you more modesty when you need it!
